  Bottoms as large as Kim Kardashian's are not allowed in this year's
  Miss Bumbum contest as Brazil's most popular beauty pageant
  seeks a more 'classic and elegant' tone, organisers reveal.
  
  
  In an exclusive sneak preview of 18 of the 27 contestants after
  their first photo shoot together - MailOnline saw
  surprisingly conservative black full-body swimsuits
  'reminiscent of Brazilian women's beachwear in the 1950s'.
  
  
  The world famous contest, now in its sixth year, kicks off in August, with one wannabee model representing each Brazilian state.
  
  
  Among the hopefuls for Miss Bumbum 2017, in a country obsessed with
  the female derriere, are a medical student, a pole dance teacher, a chef and a flower shop owner.
  
  
  And all of them would give it all up to be crowned Brazil's
  queen of sexy bottoms, securing a fast track to
  fame and fortune.

  Over the years the competition has become known for its saucy shoots, the
  skimpiest bikinis and often scandalous antics as the big bottomed women battle it
  out to win the most public votes. 
  
  But those hoping for more of the same this year may be disappointed after
  organisers promised to tone down the contest's titillation factor - even setting
  a dress code and maximum bum size. 
  
  The new rules mean that bottoms must be no bigger than 107cm (42in) in diameter - which would exclude Kim Kardashian's 109cm (43in)
  backside, if she had wanted to enter.
  
  Meanwhile, the risque behaviour which has marked previous
  contests - including one contestant who rode naked through a shanty town and another offering live strip teases in exchange for votes - is now firmly
  out of order. 
  
  And instead of G-strings and thongs, provocative lingerie
  and deliberate attempts to cause controversy - such as a raunchy photo shoot last year when contestants reenacted The Last Supper - this
  year official shoots will be 'classic and elegant' with
  contestants in full body swimsuits. 
  
  Miss Bumbum's founder Cacau Oliver told Mail Online: 'After five successful editions I
  felt the need to reach for a new audience, to show a new way to be sexy
  without being overtly sexual. 
  
  'I wanted to take the focus off just the bottom and judge women on their
  other attributes like her face, skin, breasts.
